My Must Have Oils | Head to Toe Skincare

Below are my must have oils for my head to toe skincare and their benefits. I can't be without these oils and I make my own body oil and facial oil mixtures with added drops of essential oils. Through trail and error I found that these oils work best for my skin and hair. I also use these oils individually for spot treatments or as weekly hot oil treatments. All of these oils can also be used to remove make up during your facial routine.

Grapeseed , Argan and Coconut Oil

1. Grapeseed Oil

I love this oil and typically reach for the "La Tourangelle " Brand. I really love this brand and get a few of their other oils as well. I will do a post about this brand and my favorite oils from them later.

Grapeseed oil is known to have powerful antioxidant properties and can also work to delay skin aging by minimizing damage caused by free radicals. The oil can also offer protection against sun damage, and it has astringent properties which work to tighten the skin. Because it contains linoleic acid, it can also benefit a variety of skin problems, including acne, eczema and dermatitis. This same compound helps to nourish and soothe as well as aiding in the repair of the skin. Vitamin E is the component that helps the skin stay smooth and firm. It's a lightweight oil that also works as a great carrier oil to mix with essential oils to experience the skin nourishing benefits of certain essential oils. This oil is apart of my homemade night time facial serum. It's the main ingredient because it's lightweight and moisturizing for my oily acne prone skin.

Other Benefits:

Helps reduce the appearance of Age Spots

Relieves a Sunburn

Diminish wrinkles and Stretch Marks

Skin Tightening

Minimizes Under-Eye Circles

Treats Pimples and Acne Scars

Prevents Skin Aging

2. Argan Oil

Argan oil is most commonly used as a skin moisturizer to hydrate and soften skin. With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, Argan oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It absorbs easily and is non-greasy and non-irritating, which makes it a great natural moisturizer. It's known as the "liquid gold" and can be used all over by itself.

Other Benefits:

Anti-Aging

Acne Treatment

Reduces the appearance of Stretch Marks

Aids in Even Skin Tone

Strengthen Nails

Natural Eye Serum

3. Coconut Oil

This tropical treasure has remarkable therapeutic properties that have been enjoyed by people living in the South Pacific for a very long time. Coconut oil is used in many natural beauty products, and for good reason: It's naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer, and it can penetrate hair better than other oils. I added my essentials oils to this jar like french lavender and lemongrass for added benefits and another level of scent. Trader Joe's brand is my favorite thus far. I'm on mt 10th jar.

Other Benefits:

Makeup Remove

Aids Skin disorders

Anti-Aging

Healthy Proteins

4. Neem Oil

Neem oil has been used in traditional folk medicine and as a home remedy for acne because of the aspirin-like compound that helps rid the skin of bacteria. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation. The high fatty-acid content in neem oil is said to prevent and treat scars from acne and is non-comedogenic. This oil took my acne fighting game up to a whole other level. Will never be with out it. It does have an odor but once it drys it goes away. I add essential oils like peppermint, french lavender, and lemongrass for their added benefits and for a nice scent to comeback the smell of the neem oil.

Other Benefits:

Protects Skin And Fights Ageing

Fights Acne

Relieves Symptoms Of Ezcema

Removes Pigmentation

5. Safflower Oil

Safflower is an annual, thistle-like plant with many branches and little known use except for its oil, safflower oil. Fortunately, this oil is extremely valuable and is extracted from the seeds. In the past, safflower seeds were typically used for dyes, but they have had a range of uses over the last few thousand years. Health benefits of safflower oil include its ability to lower cholesterol levels, manage blood sugar, aid in weight loss, improve hair health, reduce the symptoms of PMS, control muscle contractions, and improve the immune system. I love using this as a massage oil, especially around that time of month. I warm it up by sitting it in hot water and apply it all over my body, especially focusing it on my hips, lower back and stomach area and the outer area of my "vajaj " :). Has even helped with the little marks I had.

Other Benefits:

Reduce Blackheads

Fights Acne

Reduces the appearance of Scars and Blemishes

Softer and Youthful Skin
