Brooklyn in the South | Brooklyn Howard

Updated: Oct 16, 2020

She's a self proclaimed Creative Junkie, CEO of Ryche Rych Media, a Red Carpet Personality, Motivational Enthusiast and a Brooklyn, New York native. I meet her at the Premiere of a series I worked on back in December of 2016. She hosted the event and it just so happen that one of my close friends that accompanied me knew her. At the after party we all sat down and chatted over wine and food. The conversation was filled with everything I have been consciously surrounding myself with - Self love, ambition, inspiration, purpose, encouragement and creativity. I have kept in touch with Brooklyn Howard since then. I have seen her creative work in photography with her husband and the motivational work she's done. She is pretty transparent and I knew she would be perfect for my Goddess Revelation Blog Series.

Hey Brooklyn let's do a little Q&A....

Q&A

1. Were you named after anyone?

I was given the name-sake of the city where I was born, in Brooklyn, NY. 2. How did you get involved with event planning/photography ? Since I was a little girl, I always had a love for the arts, creativity, and beautiful imagery. I always dreamed of being in front of a camera as well as behind the camera. Photography has always been an admired interest of mine. After years of experience with hosting, promoting, and planning events for several years, I was blessed with an opportunity to do PR work for an up and coming celebrity photographer. It was then that my journey and love affair with photography began, and my talent for event planning was born. 3. Who or What inspired you? I am and continue to be inspired by Oprah Winfrey. Yes, I can say selfishly that our birthdays are 5days apart. (Laugh) However, she has had a lasting impression on me for quite some time. She a pillar of strength, intelligence, talent and wisdom. She is unwavering in her beliefs, her thoughts, and movements which I greatly respect. It’s not her success that wooes me. It’s her resilience and tenacity she has displayed while on her journey to success that motivates me. She is real, a person just like you and me. Someone who started out through life facing adversities and decided along the way to keep reaching for what she saw could be possible. She’s relatable, and I feel that I too, share in that same quality. Being able to connect with people and using my experiences, my paths to relate to them, or inspire them. 4. What were you doing before starting your business? Before starting my business, I was just a mom of 3, and worked in the corporate sector, working positions utilizing my background in business and finance. 5. Was it a gradual transition to starting your brand or did you go for it 100%? It was definitely a gradual transition. However, my passion and eagerness allowed me to use my creative skills in creating opportunities to build our brand. The growth and great experiences then thrusted me to go for it full force. 6. Where do you hope to be in 5years?

The goal is to be successful with a sustainable brand, and growth into other areas of expansion. Including but

not limited to film projects, television, and motivational speaking tours to continue paving the way for future

entrepreneurs.

7. What do you want to be known for? I want to leave a legacy that will encourage, inspire, and motivate people to make the best choices and use their journey to help others reach their highest level of success.

8. What was your dream job as a child? My dream job as a child was to be famous, be an actress, a movie star.

9. What is one of your guilty pleasures?

I binge watch certain shows that I feel give me an edge and ear on studying human behaviors. Just a

little hang up of mine.

10. What would be one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to start their own business or pursuing their passion?

In pursuing ANYTHING, especially your business or passion, you must always be persistent, and

consistent. Be ready to make sacrifices. Get ready to be uncomfortable at times to have a forseeable

future of success. And NEVER for one minute, think that you will go at it alone. Remember the odds

are always in your favor for as long as you never give up on your passion or your dream!!!
