It's that seasonal time again. Starbucks' is featuring their new and ole but goodie holiday inspired beverages. On my phone earlier this week I saw an ad for buy one, get one free from Starbucks Sept 9 -13, 2pm - 5pm. I couldn't help but smile. It's been a few months since I had my Starbucks fix. It's November now, so, I definitely wanted a treat. I also thought, this could be an idea for a blog post. I would have never thought of doing this otherwise. For 5 days I could treat someone else or just be greedy and try all the different flavors they were offering for this promotion. A holiday happy hour(s) from Starbucks - I know those true Starlovers are here for this and have their calenders marked.
After a couple hours running errands, I headed to my near by Starbucks. Okay, yes. I might have purposely timed things out so I could arrive ahead of the rush. With 15mins to spare, I walked in with anticipation. I was quickly greeted by a barista name Kyle. Kyle and his nice smile patiently assisted me in getting the 411 on this "Holiday Cheer promo". We discussed favs and wonderful alternative mixtures. The Holiday Spice Flat White got my attention and he offered me a little sample. It was a melody of all spices - nutmeg, orange, cinnamon, and etc. Something coffee lovers will like. However, after mulling over all the options which are about 10, I decided on a venti Pumpkin Spiced Chai Latte with Coconut Milk and The Holiday Spice Flat White w/ Coconut Milk for my mom.
I will be back to my local Starbucks 2mrw to try out 2 other flavors that grabbed my attention. You can't beat a Starbucks tasting like this for the Holidays. Starbucks has 4 things that are essential for every bloggers’ life…Caffeine ( I am sure coffee is number 1 for the majority), which I prefer in my Teas when I need it, Atmosphere ( especially if it's a 2 level or in a Barnes and Nobles), Music ( I know you've been tempted to buy a cd at least once) and most importantly Wi-fi. Grabbing a tantalizing venti cup of chai and sitting down to get some work done is always easy. Working mainly from home sometimes it's a great change - Starbucks and set up shop. When traveling I’d rather pay $3 - $5 bucks for a cup of chai/herbal tea and get the free, fast wi-fi than pay $8 & up at a hotel for wi-fi that is slow and disconnects me every twenty minutes. There is also the possibility of running into someone you haven't seen in a while, and/or meeting someone new all together. You also might build a good rapport with your barista.
