My Classic Summer Scents | Charu Naava tifarah naava

Hey You!

A new season is almost here and after rearranging my closet and drawers for the summer season, I knew it was time to put away my fall/winter scented oils and perfumes - bringing out my summer ones. The scents that I am sharing with you are long time loves. Two of them have been around since I was in high school and the others I fell in love with in my 20's. It's hard to try new scents sometimes and I like to know what I can expect from it when it comes to my natural body chemistry. Here are my ultimate top fragrances for the season. From light and airy, to feminine + strong, floral + fresh, sultry + sensual – you are covered in my opinion.

A scent is a powerful and personal thing. A certain scent can transport you to a time and place or bring back memories of a person you once liked or loved. I can close my eyes and tell you scents my mom, friends, guys and places throughout the years. The right scent can create a time stamp - an era or moment.

Notes Loved

Have you ever noticed that most of your scents have somewhat of a similar smell - whether some are heavier or lighter. Or has your friends, boyfriend, and family told you, that they are never surprised by the scents you wear. Well, check the notes of your top 5 perfumes or oils. You might find there are common notes within them. I discovered my top notes in my mid 20's. The way I discovered it, is when I wanted to wear more oils instead of perfumes. I was drawn to the same ones and then later, I realized that those oils were apart of my favorite perfumes. Now, just to be clear, I prefer oils over perfumes and body sprays any day. They last longer and are typically more natural - in my opinion.

My favorites notes, I gravitate to : Lavender, Vanilla, Amber, Jasmine, Pear, Lily, Musk and clean notes.

Essential Oils and Oil Blends

Below, are my favorites that I mix in with my unrefined oil such as: Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, and Grapeseed Oil. All you need is a few drops or roll on your pulse point - apply while skin is damp right out of the bath or shower. I was out of two of my favorites but I will have them pictured below.

White Amber Oil

Lavender Essential Oil Pure

Jasmine Scents + Oil

This beautifully sophisticated exotic blend of Tahitian vanilla, loved for its fruity and slightly floral aroma, anchored with creamy, rich bourbon vanilla. Jasmine tea, white honey, and fruity notes

- Night Time The scent was launched in 2014, with Coconut Milk Mango: a warm, tropical scent with notes of mango, palm leaf and coconut milk *Cactus Verde: a bright blend of cassis, pink sea salt, wild geranium and avocado *Thai Lily: an exotic fusion of Bali mango, blood orange and Brazilian

That wraps up my favorite summer scents. I think oils, and perfumes in general are such an affordable luxury and make the best presents for people. I love the idea of having your own personal signature scent that people know you by and will always remember. Create nostalgic moments for the rest of your life.
