Sonsearai Dominique, a Houston, Texas native, graduated as a certified stylist from Paul Mitchell the School - Atlanta, where she received training in precision cuts and color. She’s a licensed master cosmetologist with over 13 years of experience. With a strong passion for hair care, Sonsearai desires to become a thriving stylist who creates beautiful work that will enhance the essence of her clients beauty. She specializes in natural presses, roller sets, protective styling, cuts and extention installs yet keeping the focus on healthy natural hair.
Sonsearai has also lend her skills to various independent sets, weddings, photography shoots, and other moments when called upon. Limiting herself to just the salon is not an option. She is currently working on her passion to be a teacher to those that want to learn the importance of hair care and healthy hair. Quality over quantity is her focus when tending to her clients. With the understanding that every head of hair is different, she takes the time out to listen and pay close attention to the state of her clients "crown". Which means, she will recommend to her clients what's best for them to achieve their goals - something that might not always be what they want to hear.

Q&A
1. Were you named after someone?
Yes, a woman named Sonseehray from the 1950's film "Broken Arrow". She was an Appache woman.
2. Why did you choose the career of a hairstylist?
I've always had a desire to create hairstyles I would see so I just made the decision to persure Cosmetology.
3. What or Who inspired you?
Having a flexible lifestyle for myself and my daughter. It really pushed me to keep going when I didn't want to get out of bed sometimes. 4. What did you want to be when you were a child?
At one point I wanted to do Sports Medicine or Nursing. I have a desire to help people and I also enjoyed
sports!! 5. What were you doing before you started doing hair?
I was in the medical field full-time doing medical coding. Hair was part-time!
6. What has been the hardest part in developing and/or maintaining your brand so far?
Making time! Being consistent is hard, making time weekly to continue education, respond to messages, capturing styles and posting on social media, being a Mom 1st, spending time with family and friends and having "me" time all while actively working behind the chair. 7.
